Unconscious Mutterings for Sunday, June 27, 2004:
Come play along with me, it's fun! When I say ... you think ... ?
- Lounge::Singer. Followed by "Lizard".
- Photograph:: What popped first in to my head is the Cure song, Pictures of You. How depressing.
- Catacomb::Another song, entitled (strangely enough) Catacombs. It was on a 1987 solo album by Dave Perkins, a not-so-well-known Christian artist who teamed with genius Steve Taylor on the short-lived but most excellent band Chagall Guevara.
- Crucifix::Since I'm off on this musical trip down memory lane, this made me think of a Bloodgood song called Crucify. I know my past history as a Christian metal fan disturbs the hubby-head, so I will attempt to avoid dragging out the old cassettes and playing them loudly while headbanging in the living room... I may, however, have to go get out my old Stryper t-shirt.
- Fired drill::Fired? As in Trump? If they meant to say "FIRE" drill, I'd have to say I think of lining up in the elementary school playground, facing the buildings, in line by classroom, trying to be quiet while the teachers make sure we did it all correctly.
- Tube::Top. Which brings to mind the infamous Price is Right incident. Or I could stick with my musical theme and go for The Tubes, and their catchy hit "She's A Beauty".
- Dropped::Call. Makes me think of the Alltel Wireless commercial. (Wish I could find a link to the actual commercial - that would be cool.)
- LTD::Limited.
- Panther::My old roommate's kitty, Nico, who has gone to Kitty Heaven. He looked very much like a mini-version of a black panther.
- Formica::I think of an old 1950's diner table with a cracked red laminate top (something like this, but my mental picture is old and in disrepair). I have actually seen some very cool Formica laminates, but when I hear the word "Formica" I just can't help but think "old".
