Dreaming of Bloggers
I had an odd dream last night, and of course I have to share it...
In my dream, Frank J. and SarahK and some other bloggers (perhaps of the Bad Example family) were going to be passing through Phoenix on their way to some fun get-together or another, and Hubby and I got invited. Frank J. actually called me and told me that they wanted us to come, and while they weren't saying it wouldn't be as fun without us, he thought it would start out more fun from the beginning if we were there.
Now that was pretty cool, but of course I had to consider real life responsibilities so I told him that we needed to be at church Wednesday night, and I absolutely couldn't be gone Sunday morning because I was leading worship at church. Apparently the job was not an issue, just the church stuff. There was some question of what day they'd be getting to their destination, so he said they'd just stop off in Phoenix and if we could go the rest of the way with them, cool.
So the next scene in my dream, Frank J. was in my living room... except that my house was totally different. In fact, in this dream we were living in a penthouse apartment with a really awesome curved wall of windows overlooking downtown Phoenix. There were these neat futuristic Roman shades (I think they were a metallic copper color or something) and there were lights all along the top of the windows. The effect was spectacular.
At some point in here, Frank was playing a game on his cell phone, and it looked like fun so he plugged some cool adapter in to it, and connected it to my computer so we could play against each other. I remember it was fairly cheesy graphically (like old Nintendo graphics) and we were trying to run each other through with longswords.
I heard a thumping noise, and Frank told me I needed to turn off the lights at the windows because something (like maybe a bird) was hitting against the glass. I told him it was OK, it was just our cat Katie, being a crackhead and jumping against the windows trying to catch bugs outside.
Katie started jumping at imaginary bugs on the (highly polished) granite floor so I picked her up and held her up to Frank's face. Unlike the real-life Katie, she didn't immediately start wigging out and trying to bite and/or claw me to death for picking her up - instead, she stuck out her little pink tongue and gave Frank kisses. "Awww, how cute!" I told Frank. "You got Katie kisses! That means she loves you!"
I then began to tease Frank mercilessly about my cat being in love with him, and how someone was going to have to warn SarahK that she had some competition. Heh.
Then I woke up. How pathetic am I? ;)

HA! you tell Katie to step back!
so i'm not the only one who dreams about bloggers. :-)
