My back is strong because my load is heavy
I've carried these bags and burdens over miles of rough terrain
Year in and year out, with no place to stop
And lay them down.
Some were heavier than others, and those that
I did not feel were worth their weight
I dropped along the way.
Such a variety of luggage I've collected along the way:
Obligations, wishes, half-finished projects and
Grand visions, talents, troubles, love and losses.
Each relationship carries its own weight,
And each calling is balanced with responsibilities.
Look, my Lord, what weights I carry with me.
As I itemize each package and every bundle,
I find I've laid them at Your feet.
How strange and light I feel, as if I could fly.
I look to You to see the smile in Your eyes
And together we dance in joy.
In time You turn to me and stretch out Your hand.
"Shall we move forward?" You ask, and I sigh
As I turn back to my pile of baggage.
But, "No," You say, "I know what you truly need.
From here, I will bear your burdens and
Carry your load."

Thank you very much Denni ! I'm not sure but I vaguely remember you sharing this with me in the past yet today it seems to have much more meaning because I'm moving forward at last and finally dancing with the Lord in my heart.
Even though time and distance has separated us over the years I have always treasured our friendship.
You were so gracious and kind to me and helped me begin my journey of laying down the baggage in my life.
Thank you for sharing this with me again.
Your friend for life
Dan
